Andrew: Resident acknowledge placement of speed sign on local roads. Brought concern of the lack of posting to ecode360 which allows residents a searchable window into minutes, ordinances, and more from the mayor and council. Mayor Marana dismissed this comment while Councilman McGuire confirmed the service existed and that it was not updated since mid 2019

Mayor and Council Reports:

Councilman Sotiropoulos:
Police Reports – recent drug offenses in town. Body cameras will begin to be used and replace car dash cams
90 total COVID-19 cases
DPW – Reroof Pump Station, Leaf collection started, Preparing equipment for the snow season, assisted with Clinton Ave repairs, Brush has been crushed and composted, Assisted with Ambulance flag replacement, recent notes from residents regarding appreciation of DPW’s hard work through recent storms and pandemic

Councilman Devlin:
Senior Center still closed
Planning Board: 411 Clinton is postponed until traffic study is completed
Will Pam via PSEG services – 2 weeks for start of lighting upgrades, 4 weeks for start of boiler upgrade, HVAC is pending scheduling
Town day with Fire Department is underway

Councilman DeLiso:
Grants – $20k for Hogan Park awarded, $64K ADA library (pending), $24K Butterfly garden (pending)
Clinton Ave – $411K resurfacing Fall 2020
Cares Grant via Bergen County – Funds for schools and received information on “do’s and don’t’s” for reimbursement
Greenway – Funding challenges and easement rights

Councilman Shepard:
Fire Marshall performed 4 new inspections

Councilman Argiro:
New Rec Chair. Amy stood in as interim chair and Frank will now be chair
Falls Soccer and Basketball are active
Adult Softball finished but continues post season games
Library – Extending hours and continues to operate in a mostly virtual fashion

Councilman McGuire:
NVOT continues to be virtual and in-person, phase 2 will allow for more in-person, Fall sports are underway
Northvale School – extended their day

Mayer Marana:
Cares Grants – Opened from County, expect awards around Thanksgiving
Library Director resigned
Police funds covered all upgrades for OEM/FEMA
Tax payments are short by an excess of $100K
Building Fees are lower than normal
Clinton Ave delayed due to weather
IT Upgrades are being done with a frugal mind, expect to get dollars from CARES Act in addition to money borrowed. Aruba WiFi and new switches, moved equipment. New laptops and desktops. Upgraded ISP from 25Mbps to 200Mbps. Office 365 government version. Purchased a new domain (northvalenewjersey.org). Invoices to be submitted under the CARES Act
